TCU football announces complete 2020 schedule – The Dallas Morning News

The TCU Horned Frogs officially announced their 2020 football schedule Tuesday morning.

TCU opens up with a 2018 Cheez-It Bowl rematch, as the Frogs will travel to Berkeley to take on California on Sept. 5. A home game against Prairie View A&M follows on Sept. 12, and TCU will have its lone bye week after that. The Battle for the Iron Skillet against SMU will take place in Dallas this year on Sept. 26.

The Frogs’ Big 12 schedule begins with a home game against Oklahoma State on Oct. 3. TCU will hit the road to play West Virginia on Oct. 10 before returning home to face Kansas State on Oct. 17.

The Baylor Bears will host the 2020 edition of the TCU-Baylor rivalry game, which takes place on Oct. 24 in Waco. TCU follows that emotionally charged game with a home matchup against perennial powerhouse Oklahoma on Oct. 31. The Oklahoma game begins a two-game homestand for the Frogs, who host Iowa State on Nov. 7.

TCU will travel to play the Texas Longhorns on Nov. 14, host Texas Tech on Nov. 21 and finish the year with a trip to Lawrence, Kansas to take on the Kansas Jayhawks on Nov. 28.

The way the schedule panned out has provided a tough midseason for TCU. The toughest stretch, on paper, is the four-game gauntlet of Baylor-Oklahoma-Iowa State-Texas. One benefit is that TCU hosts both Oklahoma schools this season, although long trips to California and West Virginia won’t be easy.

Kickoff times and TV coverage will be announced at a later date.
