Los Angeles city council has launched a crackdown on homes in the Hollywood hills being rented out for loud parties.

But on Wednesday, two self-proclaimed “activists and house party enthusiasts” spoke against the move at an LA city council meeting.

Chad Kroeger and JT Parr said attending parties had given them their self-confidence – but a city official had the final word.
