Samsung Galaxy S8 release date DELAYED as UK PRICE RISE is rumoured in latest leak – Express.co.uk

The news comes days after Samsung mailed-out invitations to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ press conference in London.

“Unbox you phone,” the tagline on the invite teases.

The black-and-white invite also sports a simple drawing of the new Edge-style design of the upcoming Galaxy S8.

Samsung has confirmed the media event will start at 4pm on March 29th, with the Unpacked announcement also being live streamed on Samsung.com.

According to the latest credible leaks and whispers from the supply chain, the Galaxy S8 will ship with an impressive, almost bezel-less edge-to-edge design, marking the first dramatic shake-up for the Galaxy S design in over two years.

Samsung has purportedly dropped all physical buttons from the front of the device in a clever ploy to keep the overall size of the device small enough to use one-handed – despite the increased display size.

The Galaxy S8 is widely-tipped to arrive with an impressive 5.8-inch Quad HD display, while still maintaining the same footprint as the Galaxy S7.

There is also expected to be a 6.2-inch QHD AMOLED display model, marketed as the Galaxy S8 Plus.

For comparison, those display sizes are both larger than the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge last year.
