Pa. college football player found dead in dorm – PennLive.com

Waynesburg University is mourning one of their football players who was found dead inside a dorm room around 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

According to KDKA-TV and the Observer-Reporter newspaper, the victim was junior defensive lineman Bradley Grinnen, who played on the university’s Yellow Jackets football team.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Greene County Coroner.

The Observer-Reporter quotes university officials as saying they were told by authorities Grinnen’s death was not suspicious in nature. He originally hails from Elwood City, Pa.

However, there was no immediate word on the cause or manner of Grinnen’s death. The investigation continues.

Meanwhile, the college held a packed private vigil in honor of the fallen student Sunday night.
