COLUMBUS, Ohio — On the same day it returned from spring break for its third spring practice, the Ohio State football program officially announced new additions to its staff, including some familiar faces for Buckeyes fans.

Ohio State’s newest staff members include:

• Assistant strength coach Niko Palazeti. A former Michigan State fullback, Palazeti earned two letters (2011, 2012) during his time in East Lansing, catching one pass for two yards in 2011. Palazeti arrives at Ohio State after having spent time on the strength staffs at Mississippi State and Maryland.

• Graduate assistants Louie Addazio and Ryan Crow. Addazio served as an intern for the Buckeyes last year and is the son of Boston College coach and former Urban Meyer assistant Steve Addazio. Crow spent the past three years at Baldwin Wallace, including the past two as offensive coordinator.

• Former Ohio State and NFL wide receiver Brian Hartline. While Hartline’s official title has yet to be announced, an Ohio State spokesperson indicated earlier this month that he is serving as a coaching intern. A Buckeyes receiver from 2005-2008, Hartline caught 90 catches for 1,429 yards and 12 touchdowns. He spent seven seasons in the NFL — six with the Miami Dolphins and one with the Cleveland Browns — recording 344 catches for 4,766 and 14 touchdowns.

• Former Texas quarterback Trey Holtz. Holtz is the grandson of College Football Hall of Fame coach Lou Holtz, who Meyer worked for at Notre Dame in 1996. He arrives at Ohio State after a stint as a walk-on quarterback at Texas, where he rushed for 10 yards on two attempts in 2015.
