Blue Valley football coach hospitalized – KSHB

STILWELL, Kan. – The head coach of the Blue Valley Tigers football team is in the hospital.

A district spokesperson said Coach Eric Driskell is currently being treated in an intensive care unit.

41 Action News is working to learn more about what led up to Driskell’s hospitalization.

On Facebook Monday morning, wife Kari Driskell posted that her husband suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm.

Driskell was named head football coach in 2010 and was recently honored with the 2016 Kansas Coach of the Year Award.
